Teachers will see how Clever is used and implemented in an elementary classroom. Ideas for using Clever, as well as how to implement effectively, will be shared.
Math/Science teachers in Grades 3-5. This session is geared primarily toward math/science teachers. Each attendee will need to bring, or have access to, their TEKS and a year-at-a- glance (ie. a layout of their curriculum over the course of a year). Issues to address include: The need to build lessons within the program and for centers; Is there a way to get grades from using the program?; Is it or can it be accessed via Clever?
This session is for elementary teachers who already know Plickers and would like help creating quizzes with Plickers. Teachers of all subjects in grades 3-5 are welcome. Attendees will need to bring Treasures vocabulary definitions or math problems for the third nine weeks (or any other materials you would like to use in a quiz for the 3rd nine weeks), a laptop for each person. Each attendee will create at least five interactive vocabulary or math reviews to be accessible for the grade level. Plickers is recommended for ESL instruction.
This session is for preparing for the third nine weeks test using the test making program via DMAC. Each attendee will need to bring the year-at-a- glance for their subject matter and their DMAC login. Math team needs to know TEKS up until the end of the third nine weeks. Each grade level AND subject will need to have access to one computer (will work through one as a group). ELA will need passages to go with the questions and be familiar with the lexile ranges for the third nine weeks.
4th Grade ELA teachers will learn about the features within Digital Read Works. Teachers will have the opportunity to get their classes set up into the program.
This session is for teachers in Grades 3-5, all subjects. Attendees will need to bring any materials needed in order to create a review on the current TEKS or concepts as well as a laptop or iPad. Each teacher will have two to three quizzes completed by the end of the session that can be shared in a link via message, email, Twitter etc. Facilitators will instruct on how to create, search, share, and assign as homework in Google Classroom.
